Principles of Design

Movement

Emphasis

In the 3 photos I took for movement, motion is captured, but more specifically implied motion is captured. The crow frozen in the air, the speedwalk performed by Darren, or the jump made by Derek. In the 3 photos I took of emphasis, there is something standing out in all of them. The blue recycling bin surrounded by monotone stairs, the crow high atop the light, blending in, seeming to be an extension of it, and the milk carton that is slightly more lively of a green than the plants. All of these photos capture movement or emphasis, both of which are important principles of design.
